A Successful Toric Lens Treatment Journey
Initial Complaints and Findings
The patient shared their medical reports with us, which were evaluated by our doctor. It was determined that the patient was suitable for Toric lens implantation.
Treatment Plan
Recommended Treatment: Toric Lens implantation
Duration: 3 days
Treatment Process
Day 1: The patient was brought to our hospital for an eye examination and measurements. Since the surgery was scheduled for the second day, we arranged a small tour of Istanbul for the patient.
Day 2:
The lenses were procured and the patient was prepped for surgery at 10:30 AM.
The patient requested the surgery to be performed under anesthesia, which was arranged accordingly.
The surgery, performed under anesthesia, lasted 1 hour.
The patient remained in the hospital for 3 hours post-surgery and was then transferred back to their hotel.
Post-surgery, the patient needed to apply eye drops hourly. Our hotel offers nursing services to assist with this.
Day 3: The patient was picked up from the hotel for a follow-up check at our hospital. The patient returned to their home country in the evening.
Pre-Treatment Test Results
Before coming to Turkey, the patient had the following test results in their home country:
Post-Treatment Recovery
We conducted weekly follow-up meetings with the patient, who repeatedly expressed satisfaction with their vision.
One month post-treatment, the patient had a check-up in their home country and shared the following feedback: "My vision is excellent. The health of the eyes is great. Really pleased."
The test results after returning to their home country were as follows:
Patient Feedback
"My local optician told me that contact lenses would not do all three very well as I am long and short sighted and have astigmatism. I asked about smart lenses as I had looked on the internet and he explained that it was a very simple operation and carried little, if any, risk.
I then made a local appointment to see how much it would cost and was told £8,790.
I then decided to go to Turkey and contacted one of the team members from Medicalart Turkey. They were very helpful, understanding, patient and supported me during my surgery there.
Good luck and if you would like to call me or video chat I would be happy to do so.
Best wishes, Stu"
